As you may or may not be aware, we at 3n1media have developed a new and improved version of our CMS (Content Management System) for our web clients. And we are extremely excited to say, “It’s ready for you to use!”
Seriously—go ahead and check it out at cms.3n1media.com. You’ll notice right off the bat that it has received a pretty extensive facelift. For the most part, however, it works just like the old CMS, so once you take a few minutes to try it out, you should feel right at home.
We have added a few new features that we think you will enjoy, and we’d love to take just a few minutes to tell you about them. So, without further ado, here is a list of key improvements which we hope will make creating and managing your content even easier and more fun:
1) A more intuitive interface. You’ll find that navigating through the new CMS is much easier than trying to find your way through the old one. Perhaps the biggest difference is that the navigation tree on the left is replaced with a menu that drills down only to the page level. Once you select a page, you will see a navigation pane at the top of your page that allows you to flip through the page’s containers quickly and easily. No more drilling down into an extensive navigation tree to find your containers!
2) SocialConnect. If you read our last nSite newsletter, you already know that the new CMS offers you a way to update your social media with content from your website without ever having to leave the CMS. SocialConnect allows you to post text and links to your Twitter and Facebook profiles instantaneously, seamlessly integrating your Web 2.0 presence and driving traffic to your website. 3) Expanded Clipboard. The clipboard has always been an important part of 3n1media’s CMS, allowing you to copy and paste your content items to different containers and/or pages. In the past, however, you could only copy one item at a time. Now, you can copy as many content items as you would like to your clipboard simply by clicking on an item’s ID number; they will appear on your clipboard, and you can then add them to another container simply by clicking on them. So if you want to move a hefty amount of content to another page, you can do so in a fraction of the time.
We sincerely hope that you like the new CMS. Again, it’s ready for you to use at cms.3n1media.com, and it reflects the exact same content as the old CMS (admin.3n1media.com).
