Palm Pre January 1 Exchange Issue Resolved (UPDATED 1/21/10)

Update as of 1/21/10:  Apparrently, the webOS 1.3.5.1 update did not completely fix the Exchange syncing issue.  We have noticed with our own Pre's and others that calendar entries created on the Pre are still not syncing with Exchange properly.  Here is a way to fix the problem while Palm continues to work out the kinks:

1) Select
Date & Time.
2) Turn Network Time Zone off.
3) Select your time zone manually.

Last week, we wrote about an issue with the Palm Pre's Exchange syncing which started on January 1, 2010 (you can read that blog entry here).  For some reason, Palm's webOS 1.3.5 had a bug that interfered with Exchange syncing when the date changed to the new year.

As expected, Palm has now come up with a solution to the syncing issue.  In most cases, all users will have to do is update to webOS 1.3.5.1.  Click here to visit Palm's support page, where they detail how Sprint users should approach and solve the issue.  Happy syncing!
